About What you will find here:
My journey exploring what time means to me through a research led art practice exploring the components that make up time, the history of timekeeping and my contemplative creative responses to what I learn and encounter
Where ?
You will often find me somewhere where the mountains meet the sea, with the cold westerly wind making my cheeks glow.
I am a very private person, contemplative, curious and , perhaps even a little hermit like. There likely won't be many selfie photoshoot style images here, but rather a focus on what I look at, the small details often overlooked, the timekeeping devices, symbols and creative documentation.
To begin with I am sure there will be many more questions than answers but as I am recording, sharing and continuing my practice I kindly welcome you to rest a while here if what I share resonates with you.
About my interests
- Creative responses to curiosity
- A contemplative approach to exploring the meaning of time
- A research led art practice learning from the very basics of how a clock actually works, what are all the moving parts called and how do I put them back together once I have taken everything apart
- A travelling spirit that loves to meander through the hidden little corners of a city spotting an old clock, find a forgotten village church clocktower bell , research intricate timepieces in a museum destination and soak it all up anytime I get a chance
